Planned Fire Drill in the R.P. Bell Library

A fire drill will take place in the library on Thursday, Oct. 12.
What to do during a Fire Drill:
- Calmly, orderly and immediately leave the building using the quickest evacuation route.
- Close doors and windows if it is safe to do so.
- Provide assistance to those who are unable to leave the building on their own.
- Go to the designated assembly area. (For the Library: go to the academic quad between the library, Gairdner, Barclay, and the Owens)
- Wait for authorized staff to provide details on when you can re-enter the building.
Please review the Fire and Emergency Policy 2215 for information on what to do in the event of an actual fire or emergency evacuation.
A reminder that communication is essential in the event of an emergency. If you have not done so already, sign up to the .
